December 21st Announced Two Tables, Cash games to follow

Domination Last week

In a very lively nine handed game, Lou was once again victorious. Lou ended up chopping with a comeback player from a few years ago (Benny). With a few extra rebuys contributed mostly by Tattoo, it seemed to split the field into two groups. You had to be a gambler or basically sit out until the rebuy period was over.
After the break, it was more of the same. Big chip stacks knocked out all of the smaller stacks. here are some highlights

One Outers and Runner Runners

It took some work to fill the table this week, but at around 8pm we had a full table of players ready to go. At around 11pm it was down to the final two players and they worked out a deal.

1. Doms pair of 33 all in vs KK, hits his 3 on river to win. (it was a one outer, I folded the other 3)

6. Too many bad beats to talk about

Giants Win, who cares about poker

For those of you who did care about the poker this weekend, i will write up the recap. After some worries about how many players would show up, eight poker players ponied up the thirty bucks along with myself and the cards where in the air.

1st place - Russian Pete (beginners luck)
2nd place - Dom "Don't call me Bubble"
3rd - Brett (still no nickname, but 10 bucks richer)
Bubble - Jim (played well until the end, when it counts)
Notables
Jon Genius - Blows up with 3 5 , and gets snap called by pocket 3's
Andrew - Lots of chips early no chips late
Tattoo - first one out, but did deal well
Lou - he swings, he misses
Dean - not many cards, but he did catch an episode of The Hills that he missed

Old School Full Table

Last nights table was just about an exact copy from one of my tourney's from 3 or 4 years ago. The only difference was the location, however the players remained the same. The insults also remained the same, epithets such as "donkey", "dickweed", "mayor MacCheese", and "retard" were passed around the table like playing cards.

The level of poker play has also not changed from many players in all of these years. Some highlights of the tourney were as follows.

• Babak realized he was better off in traffic than at the table last night.
• Jon Genius is looking to have the King Seven of Hearts called the Guerrero hand.
• Dom got bubble boy and missed HBO entourage.
• Lou colon spilled more chips on floor than he actually ate.
• DT cant build chips, (if only you were rewarded 100 chips per insult)
• Tattoo makes his presence felt, not only with his poker, but also his new tattoos.
• Jim continues to be a lucky donkey and win the tourney.
• Andrew continues to be a regular tourney donk & gets dominated heads up for 2nd Place.
• Tom gets 3rd place and shows up late like Hellmuth.
• Bza Sr. needs a new nickname and new luck charm as he had some bad luck.

New Player... Lucky or Good???

Lou walks into the house and beats the competition from beginning to start. Was it luck or was it skill ? Babak and Brett Sr. both played well and were able to take 2nd and 3rd place. I was bubble boy once again when my pocket 10's were no good vs Babaks AK. I really should say ace king, because it could easily have been his AK47 coming from that region of the world. Other news, Jon Genius luck running out, Andrew nonfactor, DT taps out, dom cant hold on.

Not sure when next tourney will be, however i think it will be a 30 or 40 dollar tourney no rebuys or add ons. check back for updates

Persian Dominance

Babak ruled the table again while downing Mexican beer. Andrew looked as if he was a lock to make the money, however Jon G continues to be his nemesis and beat him bloody all over the felt. Jon G finally showed some weakness this week as he did not make the money. Dean received second place, but he also gets the luckbox of the week award for continuing to hit lucky cards to bust out players.

JON G = Unstoppable

Like Usain Bolt and Michael Phelps, Jon G continued to demolish his opponents with another top two finish with the unorthodox genius of poker BABAK " Mr. Queen 7". I was able to take third place after being short stacked most of the night.

There were too many late cancels this week, so please let me know if you cant make it to the tournament ASAP. Next Game is September 7th at 7pm (WEEK 1 Football on TV). Lets try to fill the table or else i might have to invite these sharks over. cya next time

AUGUST 10TH = SUCCESS

After only 3 hours of play, I stand victorious in our week 1 tourney. After bluffing Andrew numerous times, calling Dave down with Ace high, and letting Dom donk off his chips i had the commanding chip lead and it was my tourney to lose. The field looked devastated as they settled for playing for second place. Their was some shuffling to see who would get third, but Gavi would take it after some good short stack maneuvering. Andrew = Mr. BUBBLE. I made a deal with this champion and with it i took the tourney and some cash.
